Maria graduated from the University of Manitoba in 2010. Her passion and infatuation for dance, yoga and the human body has inspired her to pursue a career in physiotherapy. Although she’s had a wide variety of experience from working in cardiorespiratory, neurological, geriatric and paediatric physiotherapy, her calling is towards musculoskeletal physiotherapy and sports medicine.

She is qualified in Clinical Anatomical Acupuncture, Functional Dry Needling (FDN) and Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS). She incorporates Active Release Techniques (ARTs) and Graston Technique (GT) into her clinical practice to better improve the function and mobility for her patients. Maria has also worked with professional dancers from the Alberta Ballet and enjoys assisting dancers back to their peak performance level.

Maria also has her 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training Certification and instructs in styles of Ashtanga, Iyengar and Vinyasa Flow yoga. Maria has a passion for dance and yoga and continues to pursue them in her day-to-day routine. Maria is also in the middle of completing her second degree in Education at the University of Calgary, in hopes of teaching Physiotherapy students in the future.
